the Quran says,

 'Inna khalqnaakum min nafsun wahida' (verily we have created you from a single soul). and in the holy Qur'an Surah Ikhlas tell us,

  'Allah, the One and Only! The Eternal, the Absolute. He begeteth not nor is He  begotten. And there is none like unto Him?'

-is it not very similar to 'Vasudeva kutumbakam'?

in Christianity, in Judaism there is the same Abrahamic- religious God, one God.

the Hindus believe that there sacred books have been written by Rishees who were sent by God or were the pious men of God. These Rishis wrote more than 12 Vedas but others were lost and only 12 are remaining. they also claimed that the Vedas are the only Texts which are not corrupted but all others are corrupted. the concept of one True God is remained only in Vedas today. here are some quotes from the Vedas:

'Verily He is one

Single, indivisible, supreme reality.'

- Atharva Veda 13/4/20

'He is the sole sovereign

Of the universe.'

- Rig Veda 6/36/4

'He is one, unparalleled

Through His wondrous, mighty

And formidable laws and deeds.'

- Rig Veda 8/1/27

'There is only One

Who ought to be adored

By the people.'- Atharva Veda 2/2/1

‘He knows truth who knows

This God as one.

Neither second or third

Nor fourth is He is called;

Neither fifth nor sixth

Nor seventh is He called;

Neither eighth nor ninth

Nor tenth is He is called.

He surveys all that breathes

And that breathes not.

He possesses the Power of Supreme

He is One,

The One Alone.

In Him All divine powers

Become the One Alone.’

'He is One and one remains alone;

There is no Second God.'

(Reference: Atharva Veda 13.5.20)

'God is One the Lord of Men,

exceeding far and wide.

We observe His Holy Laws.'

'There is no parallel to Him,

Whose glory is truly great.'

(Reference: Yajur Veda 32.3)

'He is One.

Come together, you all, with power of spirit,

To the Lord of Heaven,

Who is only One, the Guest of people;

He the ancient desires to come to new;

To Him all pathways turn; really, He is One.'

'Seek Him everywhere

All is within His speech.

He knows all things.

Full of Wisdom,

He determines

What ought to be done,

He is our recourse,

All powers are vested in Him

He fulfills all our aspirations.

He is the source

Of all our nourishment and vigor,

Intelligence and strength.'(Reference: Rig Veda 1.145.1)

'He is all-pervading, unchanging supreme being

Is the purest of pure.

He permeates all eternal laws

And Manifest throughout

The universal life forces—

The sea, the earth, and the mountains.'

'You are the Father of this world, moving and unmoving. You are to be adored by

this world. You are the greatest Guru, for these exists none who is equal to

you; how can there be then another, superior to You in the three worlds, O Being

of Unequal Power?'(The Geeta page 708)

3) 'Ekmeba ditiyam' is the basic believe of Hinduism, means NO ONE EXCEPT ONE. if we read Hinduism holy scripture carefully (most of them written before Jesus Christ) we will see nothing but 'Ellah kubur Ellah Ellote Ellang' meaning there is no creator of anything's in between earth and heaven except ALLAH(God).

4) 'The Jews say "The Christians have nothing (true) to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus the polytheists speak the same as their words. But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.'(Sahih International) -2:113

'But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing.'(Sahih International),-23:53

according to Islam, there is no distinct God for Muslims/Christian/Hundus..

everyone's God is the same God.

5) according to the Qur'anic teaching, God sent His Messengers and Prophets to every Nations periodically in there crisis with the same Divine message that 'there is One God, God of mankind,  God of Islam,Allah. and this earthly life is a Test for all as to choose pne in between (good and evil), and there is after life, the Judgment Day from which we can't escape! and for the nations there were sent the Codes of life as a Guide towards the Right way. the holy Qur'anic Revelations is the Complete (for the end time) Code of life for all the nations till the Final Day of mankind.

this is to learn that, in course of time, we divided ourselves into many thought of schools and interests, and thus divided the One True Religion in many different religious groups . Christianity/Islam/Hindu/Others all are actually sects of one Religion.Religion for mankind is one as God is one.

Religion is the unchangeable belief in Oneness of God. and the Codes of life are progressive, periodically, continuing from the creation of mankind.
