consumer based society: its disastrous impacts on people’s mind.

this Egotistic Consumer Based Greedy Society gradually becomes more and
more scary;
this system boosts up its ever powerful molding mechanism
(for exploitation through deception) by means of illusive-media manipulation and innovative marketing projects.
it aims to Over-Exploit Humanity with its Fullest, in all very subtle ways.
it is dressed
up with creative arts and advertisements; and it endeavors mind- building
psychedelic apparatus which keeps molding us (our brains and perceptions)
consumeristically non-stop.
this power-system channeling Continuously Creates 'Wants' to Consume, and so to
settle down the next update of Consumerism Oriented Value-System, in name of New World Order. this works to popularize Pseudo-Individuality through Transforming intrinsic norms and values fit for, and bringing
mass-acceptance and socio-cultural validity.
now, internet becomes its (media's) important mode of overwhelming
updated-designations. everybody and anyone put anything likable that labeling 'info'/'meme'
in it, and by laws of attraction those may come out with a Bigger Circle of Deceiving and Transforming peoples' Mind, using all of their derivatives; thus even a false
idea has a chance to be turned into a powerful ones, by virtue of mainstream interest.
still people can fight back too, even creating against the existing hegemony an alter-space for the counter-narratives. true Religion does have that strength to carry out. we can
make use of its fuel and gaining power of Truth ; conscious people can build up the
spaces for introducing true essence of Humanity, Justice, Love and Peace.
people can bring back the true message of 'good' to fight back false propaganda (evil's strength) and the conspiracies of 'evil'.
remember it's all about (now in a very
complicated form and/ at intellectual level) a war of (seriously active/freely
charged) 'Ideas'.
here, i like to put in here a very thoughtful quote from Theodor W. Adorno and Noam Chomsky on Culture Industry and Consumerism , they said:
'Thus,
athough the culture industry undeniably speculates on the conscious and
unconscious state of the millions towards which it is directed, the masses are
not primary, but secondary, they are an object of calculation; an appendage of
the machinery. The consumer is not king, as the culture industry would have us
believe, not its subject but its object. ...........
....................................................................................................
The entire practice of the culture industry
transfers the profit motive naked onto cultural forms. Ever since these
cultural forms first began to earn a living for their creators as commodities
in the market-place they had already possessed something of this quality. But
then they sought after profit only indirectly, over and above their autonomous
essence. New on the part of the culture industry is the direct and undisguised
primacy of a precisely and thoroughly calculated efficacy in its most typical
products.'
-The Culture Industry: Selected Essays on Mass Culture.Culture industry reconsidered.' -Theodor W. Adorno, p-99
'The phrase,
the world wants to be deceived, has become truer than had ever been intended.
People are not only, as the saying goes, falling for the swindle; if it
guarantees them even the most fleeting gratification they desire a deception
which is nonetheless transparent to them. They force their eyes shut and voice
approval, in a kind of self-loathing, for what is meted out to them, knowing
fully the purpose for which it is manufactured. Without admitting it they sense
that their lives would be completely intolerable as soon as they no longer
clung to satisfactions which are none at all.'

industry reconsidered. -Theodor W. Adorno, p-103
'The goal for the
corporations to maximize profits and market share, And they also have a goal
for their target, namely population. They have to be turned into
completely mindless consumers of goods that they don not want. You have to
develop what are called ‘Created wants’. So you have to creates wants. You have
to impose on people what’s called a Philosophy of Futility. You have to focus
them on the insignificant things of life, lke fashionable consummption. I’a
just basically quoting buisness literature. And it makes perfect
sense. The idea is to have individuals who are totally disassociated
from one another. Whose conceptin of themselves, the sense of value is just,’
how many created wants can I satisfy?’ We have huge industries, public
relations industry, monstrous industry, advertising and so on, which are
designed from infancy to mold people into this desired pattern.”- Noam Chomsky,
from the film, ‘The Corporation.’
